Solidification/Stabilization
Solidification (binding and encapsulation) and stabilization (chemical alteration) are two of the safest means to render various contaminants harmless. Shamrock has extensive experience using these technologies to treat waste such as heavy metals, PCBs and petroleum-based products. Material can be treated in-situ or is often disposed of at an off-site, non-hazardous landfill, thereby reducing expensive transportation and disposal costs to hazardous waste / Subtitle C landfills.
As part of our overall goal of achieving total client satisfaction, Shamrock has used stabilization and solidification as a cost-saving, safe and effective means to treat hazardous materials.
